Rava Halwa - Sweet Delights & Drinks
Semolina flour sautéed in ghee, served as a sweet
  • ½ cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1 cup semolina (coarse)
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2–3 pieces small cardamom (powdered)
  • ¼ cup almonds (powdered)
  • 3–4 saffron strands
  • Heat the ghee in a kadai (cooking wok). Add the semolina and stir quickly, without allowing it to burn. After it appears medium golden color, add the warmed milk and allow to boil further for about 10 minutes Reduce the heat.
  • Add the sugar, powdered almonds, cardamom powder, and saffron, stirring constantly. Stir for another 5 minutes. Close burner
