(Eggless) Dates and Walnuts Cake - Sweet Delights & Drinks |

This eggless cake is delicious and the recipe is sent by my friend Sonal Kaza. It is perfect for vegetarians too as it doesn’t have eggs.
Also dates are packed with all the valuable nutrients and fibers that are good to eat. So enjoy this recipe |

Ingredients |
- 1 Box ready cake mix vanilla or chocolate cake mix
- ½ cups walnuts chopped

- 1/2 cup oil (olive oil)
- 1 cup Maida - All purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 tsp baking powder

Method |
- Cut dates in small pieces and soak with water in a pan for about 10 minutes till soft. Cook on low heat till soft and pulpy.
- Close burner, add sugar, and allow cooling. Next add oil and vanilla essence and set aside.
- Mix baking powder with the Maida and sieve. Add sieved Maida to the mixture and fold in the chopped walnuts.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray the cake tin with oil and pour in the cake mixture. Bake for 40 minutes.
- Once done, loosen the edges and carefully take out the cake from the tin and onto a serving dish.
